Here at Webkinz Insider we have been getting scattered reports of members adopting Lil Kinz St. Bernards and having Large Webkinz St. Bernards show up on their accounts. For some members, this was an exciting surprise since the Large Webkinz St. Bernard is retired. For others who really wanted the Lil Kinz, it was a disappointment.
Thank you to Webkinz Insider member chabs, part of the mystery has been solved. chabs collected information from members who had the “misfit” tags and from members who had the regular tags. She discovered one very important difference between the two types of tags. Underneath the barcode is a very tiny number. On the tags that turned out to be Lil Kinz the number was “B39″. On the tags that turned out to be Large Webkinz, the number was “B48-A”.
Those of you who are planning on picking up a St. Bernard may want to take a close look at the tag before you bring it home to make sure you are getting the Webkinz you want. Just keep in mind that we can’t predict what, if anything, Ganz will do with the programming for these codes in the future. They could all go back to being Lil Kinz without warning.
- A new Lil Kinz has been added to the wCares line-up: the Lil Kinz Panda. There have now been a total of 12 wCares Lil Kinz spotted at Walgreens: Cocker Spaniel, Grey/White Cat, Elephant, Cow, Gold/White (Orange) Cat, Basset Hound, St. Bernard, Horse, Persian Cat, Monkey, Panda, Black Bear.
- A new “Money Bed” has been spotted by several members on the new TC3 sticker cards. All of the other beds shown in the stickers are current Super Beds, leading many to believe this is a new bed that will be released soon.
- The Allium Flowers have disappeared from the wShop. Actually, these flowers have been gone for nearly two weeks. They were removed from the wShop on the day the new Underwater Theme was added. Many members are hoping this was just a programming error and that they flowers will return to the wShop soon. We understand that they look great surrounding the Grand Charmling Tree.
- The Fantail Goldfish food, Daphnia Dafina, still cannot be sent via KinzPost. This appears to be a programming error.
- And, as an update to a story we have all been watching, although the Clubhouse is still closed for the majority of our members, some people have been able to get in. Hopefully the rest of us who have been stuck looking at a “blue screen” will be able to get in to join them soon.
Four more Webkinz have been officially retired by Ganz: Floppy Pig (HM184), Fantail Goldfish (HM218), Cocoa Dinosaur (HM338), and Sheep (HM227). It is worth noting that the Floppy Pig and the Sheep have not yet been seen in Webkinz World as they are not scheduled for release until next month. Just like with the other early retirements, it will still be possible to find these Webkinz in stores for a short time.
Thank you to our friends at http://www.ameriwade.com for this information.
